Christmas Music Prelude

Every Christmas Eve, prior to the 7:00pm Mass, we enjoy a Christmas music prelude with sounds of the season (and even some caroling), featuring our very own music director, Katherine Alexandra.
Katherine is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory of Music (summa cum laude) with a master’s degree in concert piano performance. She is primarily a concert pianist, performing since the age of 5. She has played solo concerts in Russia, Spain, and in the U.S., has played with symphony orchestras, various theater orchestras, and has participated in theater productions. Katherine performs various styles of music including classical, Broadway, and pop, and if you attend Mass at St. Michael's you are already familiar with her beautiful singing voice.
Join us at 6:30pm, sit back, and enjoy the music!

January speaker JB Miller is a life-long Mennonite and student of Amish and Mennonite history. He grew up in Sarasota's Pinecraft community, a popular winter-time destination for Amish and conservative Mennonites. The community dates back to the 1920’s and serves as a winter home to many different groups of Plain People who identify as Amish or Mennonite.
Come join us as JB shares how these communities live and what Pinecraft was like long before it became a popular tourist destination.

Join us for an evening of golden era entertainment with Frank Torchio, vocal and comedic entertainer with impressions of movie stars, singers, and celebrities from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Singing impressions include Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jimmy Durante and many more. This will be an event you won't want to miss!

All proceeds go to the St. Michael the Archangel Building Fund.
